Dad... to you love was an action and you never stopped moving. The giant gaping hole in our hearts and lives is a wound that I don't know will heal. I love you.
OTTOVILLE - Randall "Randy" Joseph Honigford, age 60, went home to the Lord, unexpectedly on February 26th, 2026, at Mercy Health - Putnam County Emergency Services in Glandorf. He was born on January 29, 1966 in Lima, to the late Gerald and Carol (Spieles) Honigford. On December 6, 1985, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Joyce (Fischer) Honigford in Kalida and she survives him in Ottoville. They celebrated 40 years of marriage in December.
Randy graduated from Ottoville High School class of 1984 and DeVry University in Columbus. He was an electrical technician and worked at Protec Coating Company in Leipsic for almost 34 years.
He enjoyed history, researching family trees, sports (especially the Cleveland Indians), old radios, and wood working, doing many home projects and special builds for his family. He loved to watch Curse of Oak Island with his late daughter, Jennifer. Above all else he loved to spend time with his beloved wife, his children, and his grandchildren. He loved being a husband, father, and pawpaw.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville. The family takes great comfort in the fact that he is now reunited with his daughter, Jennifer, and his parents.
Randy is survived by his wife Joyce, his children Jessica (Christopher) Crawford and Matthew (Samantha) Honigford, both of Delphos, as well as his grandchildren, Andrew Crawford, Caroline Crawford, Elizabeth Honigford, Margaret Honigford, Katherine Honigford, and Baby Boy Honigford on the way in May.
Also surviving him are sisters Marla (Michael) Kelsey, Kathy (Tony) Honigford, Linda Honigford, Cheryl Honigford and Brad (Kelly) Honigford. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald and Diana Fischer of Kalida, his siblings-in-law Richard (Lori) Fischer, Kevin (Lois) Fischer, Sue (Joe) Dunn, and Lynn (Josh) Bryan, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Honigford in 2022 and his parents, Gerald and Carol Honigford.
Randy’s funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. There will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
